Our polices and food safty information

We at Fresh meal fairy are dedicated to helping the schools with their satiability goals. 

We use all recycled plastics that are bio degradable, 

We also use only paper bags that are also recycle 

All our foil containers are also able to be recycles and there carboard lids also. 

Where possible we send all our food scraps to a local farmer for his pigs, and chooks. 

We work very hard to have as little food wastage as possible keeping it from land fil.

All our delvers are in either carboard boxes that are recycled or in paper bags, again reused or recycled.  Please see below pictures of the types of packaging we use in the schools. 

We are very serious about food safety at Fresh meal fairy. 

Our facility is a purpose built kitchen for the handling and delivery of school lunches. 

This is registered with the city of Greater Geelong and is checked by a health inspector as per requested. 

All staff have a food safety handlers certificate on file. 

All staff are asked to retrain each year in this area. 

We have dedicated heat cupboards and bags for the delivery of all food. 

We have strict temperature checking process in place for both fridges and cooked food each day. 

Our delivery bags all have a thermometer in them so temperatures  are checked on arrival at schools. Please see below some pictures of how we work in the kitchen 

Allergies and dietary requirements of different types weather personal choice or religious are a major factor in our school communities, therefore we take then very seriously at Fresh meal fairy.  

Our kitchen is a complete nut free kitchen and no nut products are used in the space.

We have dedicated areas for gluten free products, as we do use gluten products in this kitchen we buy in our gluten free and dairy free products to avoid cross contamination. 

While we do our best to avoid this happening we are not certified  gluten free only.

We ask all parent's to fill in the Allergy section on their students profile when setting up their account this way we are informed easily.  

We do read the allergy information on each bag,

We do cook allergy specific food separate to other foods.
